Steve Irwin… is there anything like him?

I was just thinking that my DC would probably really enjoy Steve Irwin’s old shows. Does anyone still watch them? I’m hoping I can find them streaming somewhere. But is there a modern version? Asking because I just watched a YouTube clip and the video quality was a bit pants.

Thanks!

On youtube I'd have a look at
Australia Zoo
Brave Wilderness - he's a bit crazy like Irwin, usually being bitten or study by something.
Wild Earth - live safaris in Africa, they also do a school friendly version where they don't show kills.

DS loves the Steve Backshall Deadly programmes, good combination of wildlife, risk and silliness to keep kids engaged.

Brilliant, thanks for the recommendations!

What's the one with Bear Grylls where you chose the ending. My dd (10) loves that.

The one on Netflix? You Vs the wild, or something like that? That’s pretty good.

I think what I loved about Steve was that earnest, bonkers-ness. And his obvious passion. I’ve tried David Attenborough with them, and it’s a bit too sedate. Even for me.

Wild territory on Netflix. Pretty sure he'll end up the same way as Steve Irwin though
