Love2Shop voucher

Has anyone ever gifted a Love2Shop voucher to someone?

I received one as a link which I then activated but 3 days later it is still saying ‘activation pending and can take up to 24 hours’.

Will the person who gifted it to me have to complete a final step when they get notification that I’m trying to activate it? And is that what’s stopping it working?

I rang Love2Shop but they couldn’t help as I didn’t have any card details to locate the voucher.

I've never experienced that, but I do know it takes some time for them to process and update transactions. I've spent them before and then when I check the balance it's still shown on the card for a day or so - which just seems bizarre really. I don't gift them to anyone because I do think they're a pain, similarly the one4all card.

As long as it all came from a legitimate source (eg someone you know) If you've clicked through the link and it's accepted the 'activation' so to speak I would wait a little longer and then either contact them again, or contact whoever gave you it to let them know you've not been able to use it. They wouldn't ordinarily need to do anything.

These vouchers are dreadful. Our teen is given them and honestly there is not really a shop included that a teen boy would use. We have to give him the cash and then the voucher just gets thrown in a drawer and expires. I wish he was given Amazon voucher or cash.

Couldn’t agree more. It was given as a good will gesture due to a home renovation project running late. It got activated after I contacted customer service who said the delay was due to the high value. At least it’s valid at John Lewis so can use it for some other home stuff I need.
