Fake sellers on Vinted - what's the trick?

I shop a lot on Vinted and know how to spot many of the fake sellers from their dodgy user names and 0 feedback. But what's the deal with them? How are they scamming?

I've had a few items that I've sold go missing before and never turn up. After 30 days Vinted automatically refunds both the buyer and the seller if the item doesn't arrive.

So I'm wondering how these Vinted scammers work. Do they just ship an empty box to you that shows Vinted the item has been sent and marked as delivered once the box arrives? Then it's up to you to plead your case with Vinted to prove the box was empty?

I have same question. There are literally hundreds of them every day.

If it's anything like marketplace they'll message people and eventually try and get their bank details.

I had 2 seperate sellers upload a photo of the royal mail tracking, exactly the same photo with a tracking number that didn't exist. Vinted refunded me Immeadiately but I don't understand what the scam was? They wouldn't get auto payed as there was no confirmation of delivery.

How long did it take to get a refund please? I bought an item on Saturday and keep being told it’s with the courier but I’m not getting an update on delivery. He keeps asking if I have logistics information. Then I’ve been told the courier station is under maintenance.
I've tried to cancel the order but he’s obviously clicked to say he’s sent it because it hasn’t been accepted. I’m not sure what to do next or do I just wait?
