Hi all
Some good black Friday deals on and think that if in going to splurge on an airfryer/pressure cooker/multicookers thing then i will plump for the instant pot brand rathee than ninja as pricing is more competitive and I like the idea of stainless steel pans better. I do have a few questions (very basic ones) if people could help.

First, there is a good price on the instapot duo with the separate af lid.. Particularly the 8l one. We are a family (at the moment) of 3 but batch cook loads and love having a well stocked freezer and use our large stock pot loads on the hob. Would 8l be too big? Can it be too big?

Second how does it work making a meal in the one pot using all the functions, like how do I roast a chicken and cook my potatoes and steam veg at the same time? Or is that only possible with an airfryer with 2 baskets (but then how do you steam in one of these contraptions?)

I am very confused but would like a pressure cooker and slow cooker functionality so think the instant pot is the way forward.

Am open to any and all suggestions and advice. Although it doesn't sound like it, I am quite a competent cook. This is just making me nervous.. Especially with a very skeptical husband.

TIA

Instant pot has two lids depending on function used. Then stainless steel bowl and an airfryer basket. You can only use one setting at a time. Eg you can't airfry and slow cook at the same time

Thanks, so at risk of sounding really stupid, could i do a roast chicken with roast potatoes and steamed broccoli all in one go? I see these beautifully plated meals and just think How? Is it all too good to be true?
