Bring me your small achievements...

Yesterday I cooked a full roast and made roast vegetable soup this morning with all the leftovers. I also put a joint of pork in the slow cooker and just pulled it out and its lush. Both DCs tucking in with no complaints!

Very boring but I promise not smug. I hate cooking and I am absolutely terrible at being organised (thankyou, ADHD) so this is a major achievement.

Anyone else care to join me? 🙂

I didn’t contort my face today when my dh talked about his nasty mad brother….I think I just went all sort of calm and a bit eerie…still I’m working on it and I consider that progress!

Fuwari · 14/11/2022 18:19

I got out of bed! I have covid so this was a major achievement.

I also have ADHD so I know well how hard it is to be organised. Oh that reminds me, my second win was taking all the dirty cups out of my room! I swear I'll keep on top of it and yet every time I end up with a collection in there!

My baby is poorly and waking every hour, mil is in hospital and dh consumed by worry and working every hour god sends to make ends meet and visit his mum in between. I am exhausted and tired but I had a glass of wine and have got on with it with a smile for the baby. Today just getting to the evening was an achievement

Also ADHD. I posted a birthday card, two days late. This was a very big achievement.

FreezyWater · 14/11/2022 18:36

Oh @tirednewmumm that sounds absolutely pants. Well done for making it to the end of the day. I hope the wine works and you get a decent few hours of kip tonight.
Also hope MIL recovers too xx

Well done to my fellow ADHD sufferers! I've only recently realised what's been going on for all these years and just coming to terms with it really.

My third win was attempting to make pork scratchings out of the left over fat! Not sure it has worked though 😂

First day back at work today after being signed off for two weeks and it went ok!

whatisforteamum · 14/11/2022 18:50

My small achievement is getting another job with a work life balance.Weekend off.
Also the reason I stayed so long at my other place doing 12 hr days for yrs was I couldn't face public transport to go elsewhere.
The bus journey is a small step for many.Life changing for me with anxiety.

LadyMarmaladeAtkins · 14/11/2022 18:51

I made a phone call today that I didn't really want to and persevered when the person on the other end was being obtuse and annoying.

You've just reminded me to put a specific variety of pork scratchings in my supermarket order. My partner ate my previous bag got on offer and I didn't even get to try them 😡 (He's meant to ask about 'my' snacks because I have a food allergy and he has loads of his own in the cupboard that I can't eat!)

Choconut · 14/11/2022 18:57

Sorted out 4 boxes of books and other bits and 5 bags of clothes to go to charity. Plus a bin liner full of rubbish and a load of recycling.

Fireballxl5 · 14/11/2022 19:05

I wrote a letter to the Maire of our commune in french.
I also, rather late, soaked the fruit in brandy ready to make a Christmas cake.

Three wins in one day is very, very impressive. I came back from the post box and rested on my laurels.
