Plant pot flies!

Never had this issue before but my house is full of tiny little fucking flies. I put the yellow paper out and within days there's dozens stuck to it. Anyone know how to exterminate the fuckers?

I had this and it turned out I was overwatering my plants. Could you be guilty of this too? They disappeared with a week of me cutting back on the water!

Definitely try correcting the watering, but nematodes work brilliantly if they persist (or have spread to many plants)

I had this too and got some special pot plant nematodes which sorted it. Overwatering was the issue here too - the little flies live in the very top of the soil where it’s dampest, so you could also try watering from the bottom (standing your plant in water, rather than putting the water on the plant IYSWIM) and putting gravel/sand on the surface of the soil so they can’t keep breeding there.

I read recently that a layer of alpine grit (fine gravel) on top of the soil can help as they lay their eggs just below the surface of the soil. So if you can break the life cycle it will help.

Thanks all I've got grit and I'll look at the nematodes too
