Has anyone had a lot of dental work done?

Eg whitening, replacement fillings, bridges, veneers?

My teeth are ok but I have lost a few back teeth and cosmetically they could look better eg whiter and more even. Also the dentist says I need some work done on receding gums and strengthening some of my teeth.

It’s a big commitment in time and expense and I was wondering if it was worth it? I also don’t like the sound of some of the work involved as I don’t particularly like going to the dentist anyway even for a one-off filling.

If you have had a lot of treatment how was it and was it worth it?

My dentist would like to replace three front crowns at a cost of £1500 and wants me to have a bridge that will be upwards of £6000. I had an extraction a month ago, after a tooth broke. I imagined that it would be filled, but she put me in with the oral surgeon instead. That was £153.
