Did anyone read this over the weekend?

It really stayed with me. Some lovely thoughts about parenting, being a good person and family.

I've not read any of Michelle Obama's books but I'm now very tempted.....

Was this the Guardian piece, OP? I read it too and thought it was great. I’ve listened to a few episodes of her podcast and loved it, but I haven’t read Becoming yet. (I think that’s what her previous book is called?)

I must check out the podcast and both books are now on my must read list.

It was lovely, wasn't it? She's an extraordinary woman - Becoming is a brilliant read.

'Parent the child you've got' or as I sometimes think of it 'meet your child where they are' is one of my internal parenting guidelines, and the one about putting yourself out of business is so true.

I love this and found it quite moving

Yes there were some lovely key points that I stayed with me. The you will always be liked at home and parent the child you have.

I have saved the article to read again (and again and again) but will be purchasing her books.
