seatbelt extender

Hi,
Anyone got experience of seatbelt extenders?
I am struggling to strap in our eldest now cos he's into carseats that use the seatbelt.. so I have to lean all the way in and reach over him to get the seatbelt clipped in to the socket.
I saw an extender online .. its rigid.. so it sticks up from the socket and I think would mean I could reach it without all the huffing and puffing..
Not sure how safe these things are tho.. dont seem to be on mothercare or amazon.. just other sites...

I don’t understand what the problem is - are you disabled or have limited mobility, OP?
I just leaned in and clipped my DCs’ seat belts until they were old enough to do their own. It wasn’t difficult to reach.

Maybe try from the other side of the car so you're not reaching over your child?

Teach you child to do it? Pull belt across child ask them to click it in and you pull it tight and double check it isn't twisted.

Unfortunately I think you'll have to carry on as you are OP as seat belt extenders aren't safe to use with car seats. The only time they are recommended is for people who otherwise wouldn't be able to fasten a seatbelt without one, as any seatbelt is better than none.

Can your son clip it in? My dc did it once they were in lap belt car seats

I'm with pps who said get your DC to do it. If they are old enough to sit in that kind of car seat, they should be able to manage.
