How long does it take you to recover from a bad nights sleep??

It’s definitely taking longer as I get older.

DD had a terrible night with an ear infection Saturday night. I got maybe 3 hours split up during the night. Last night, had an early night and a sound nights sleep. I still feel like I could lie down and go to sleep right now. I’m probably looking at another 2 nights to get back to more normal.

Im wondering if it’s just an age thing (I’m almost 44) and not as healthy as I could be (overweight, don’t exercise a lot, don’t drink enough water) and if It would be easier if I was healthier.

Mid 50s, I can miss one night & be ok. If two nights are mucked up it takes a full 24hrs to recover.

43 and I can power through after one mucked-up night, but two in a row and I struggle. I've had some overtime over the last few weeks that was silly o'clock but just too well paid to turn down, so I did it, but it did muck me up a bit, in terms of headaches, feeling spaced-out next day and so on.

Taking magnesium helps, I find.
