Help! Fb messenger isn’t showing marketplace messages??

I’ve been selling stuff on fb marketplace. All of a sudden yesterday, my messages from marketplace just disappeared from messenger. All other messages on messenger off my contacts are still there, but the marketplace ones are blank.
Any ideas please? I read something which said I might have archived them by mistake, but it doesn’t look like that. I don’t know what to try.

Me and my Mum are having the same problem - have had to talk her through getting to the inbox on her ipad over the phone!

Mine has been doing it too. Even through the Marketplace tab on Facebook

It’s annoying me lots as I have a red number dot on messenger and I can’t get rid of it.

Same here. Very annoying. Going to try reinstalling

It seems to do it when the listing expires. Drives me nuts! I have a few things for sale, I get messages from people interested, the. Suddenly they disappear and the listing in inactive no idea why they have it like that?!

Reinstalling worked for me

Mine did this on the weekend! I saw a message pop up and it said I had a message there but when I clicked on it, it said there were no messages!

I managed to read it by looking at messenger in the web page rather than the app.

I thought I had lost my marketplace messages.
I discovered that if I click on the 3 little lines in the top left corner I have a choice to open chat, marketplace, or group messages.

Everyone having this problem, mine has been solved by deleting the messager app and reinstalling it. Altho the older messages are onky showing up by clicking on market place and messages

Mine have done the same and still can’t get them back! 😩

I managed to get on by tapping the marketplace icon at the bottom of the screen (I’m on app on iPhone so might be different for others), then tap the person icon top right, then select inbox. They still don’t appear if I go through my normal inbox on messenger though. They must have updated something 🤦🏻‍♀️

i have exactly the same problem.
i can access all other facebook messenger private messages, but nothing on marketplace.
im selling an item, & ive had interest, but i cannot read the message & i cant send a message to them.
i have accessed via marketplace on facebook, but i cant open any of the messages.

Im on Iphone too

@daisydalrymple I found mine again. When you’re in messenger on the top left there is a symbol of three lines. Click on it and there is now the option to see your chats or your marketplace messages separately. So maybe they’ve just changed the way they presented it.

Ive tried everything i can think of to get Marketplace Messenger back on my Messenger App.
ive done a full update, Deleted both Facebook & Messenger & reinstalled.
No joy.
Any ideas anyone please?

Marketplace is still not working in my messenger app but I can access it via the Facebook app (Marketplace - Profile - Inbox)

If you go into the messenger app, in the top left hand corner there are 3 lines, click on this and there now a separate area for marketplace messages. They won't show up unless you click on 'marketplace' specifically now

The problem with all the advice to go into inbox via another route means you can’t delete the enquiries after if sold or oddballs . Also I’m getting very few interest on sales where there was loads before , awful situation no way to contact them it’s just dreadful
