DS has been poorly and up for the last two nights after his flu spray and tonight we did calpol before bed and in the middle of the night when he started showing signs of being rough again… so he’s sleeping through. But I’m not! I’ve got a stinking cold out of nowhere.

wonder if I’ve caught it from DS and it’s not the flu spray at all but he was already brewing something. Although DH seems to think we could catch what he has as a side effect from the spray as it’s a live vaccine. I’m too tired to know if this is right or wrong.

instead I am blearily having tea and biscuits in the kitchen while wondering if I’m ever going to sleep through the night again.

anyone else up and awake?

I feel for you! I use a nasal spray to help with blocked nose at night, really effective thank goodness

Bloody cat woke me up to go outside - although tbf it's normally a 3am trip so 5am is almost considerate!

Got the beginnings of a cold in our house. Kids have tag teamed and conspired to keep me awake all night. Oldest awake 1am to 3am, youngest 3am to 5am. Both in my bed.

everyone now asleep, apart from me because I’m on a tiny bit of bed with various elbows and toenails jabbing at me. It’s too bloody cold to get up and find another place to sleep (they’ll both be awake at 6am for the day anyways 🙄)

Have been up at stupid o'clock for the last week with a cold that has produced more snot than I've ever seen in my entire life. Felt absolutely fine after the first two days of feeling dire, apart from needing to empty my entire skullful of gunk every couple of hours. Woke up this Saturday morning with energy.

And then I had my covid and flu vaccinations at 9.30am.

I don't ever remember my arms ever hurting more than a slight ache before, but it's woken me up this time.

Sorry to everyone else who is also knackered after a bad night, I didn’t get back to sleep in the end and feel awful. DS seemed to be on the mend but then spiked a fever again so no preschool tomorrow so I’m hoping for a better night tonight!
