Funny chest/back pain when crying

Has happened 2 or 3 times last few weeks.

On phone this afternoon and very upset - crying - and suddenly felt a funny sensation of like pins and needles/squeezing pain from my chest/back down both my arms . Felt like an electric shock/as if I’d been zapped down my back suddenly . Stopped almost as soon as it started .

dealing with a very complex bereavement hence crying .

The same thing happened about four weeks ago, I remember I spoke to 111 who said wondered if I was hyperventilating . I wasn’t hyperventilating just now I know that .

Should I get advice? I’m 30, no history of heart problems .

Stress may cause angina

Does angina only last a few seconds though? It was weird, it was like someone had kicked me in the back and hit a nerve that spread all the way down my arms . Very strange feeling . I remember the last time 111 were quite underwhelmed about the whole thing .

Anyway I’m on hold to 111 now, they’re saying at least one hour’s wait and I’m only 7 minutes in so that’s going well .

It’s possible but only a qualified person could say for sure.

I would say that your symptoms are MOST likely to be indicative of the stress you are suffering.

I hope you get through soon.

Sorry for your loss.

Thanks, hopefully it’s not angina . 25 minutes on hold now, so almost halfway .
