Is there anything I can take to alleviate symptoms of vertigo (dizziness and nausea)?

I can’t see my osteo for a few days and I’m suffering a bit here! Anti seasick pills maybe?

Migraleve? I would ask a pharmacist. Vertigo is horrible, hope you feel better soon.

I was prescribed prochlorperazine for vertigo, you'd prob need to see an OOH doctor though, don't think you can get it over the counter.

KittenKong · 12/11/2022 09:56

No I’ve not called anyone. I’ve had it before (neck/spine related).

I have vertigo way too often, in fact I am bed bound today not moving!
Betahistimine or Stemetil helps.

I have vertigo and have prochlorperazine in prescription or cinnarazine which you can buy over the counter as sturgeron travel sickness pills.

It is not as good a prochloperazine

I know this might sound a bit mad, but have you ever tried cold water swimming? One of my friends was really suffering with vertigo, and he found cold water swimming really helped - you don't even need to swim, just have a dook in the water, but there's a nerve in your neck callled the vagus nerve, and that's really meant to help with things like vertigo!

It's not a cast iron solution but it might help in the meantime til you can get to the doctors?
