Memory loss/brain fog pre migraine?

Has anyone else experienced this? Twice in the last 6 weeks I have had an hour or two where I have major brain fog and forget what I’ve just done (for example sending an email then 5 mins later having forgotten). It’s very similar to the brain fog I had when I had Covid. It seems to tie in with the weird aura I get pre migraine although I never get the actual painful headache.
I’ve had tests at the GP today and am going to a big hospital for stroke tests (MRI, ECG, bloods etc) tomorrow morning but interested to hear of anyone else experiencing similar. I’m wondering if it’s linked to peri menopause too - I’m 41.

I do. I get really hungry, vivid vision and then a few hours later I turn into a pudding. I can't even complete simple tasks in forgetful, slow and can't work anything out. It's my signal to take my anti emetics.

@Threadkillacilla sorry you struggle too but reassuring to know it’s a thing. There is lots about it online but obviously it’s worth getting checked out.

I cannot read or talk during the aura (not that I can’t stand to read, I completely lose the ability to read or use language, can’t use the phone as can’t read the names). I ended up in a&e the first time as I was trying to ask the chemist for migraine medication but I couldn’t talk. It stops almost instantly with migraine medication and all neurological tests were fine.

I get this, I slur my speech and forget words. I also struggle with tasks I absolutely know how to do… but are
impossible pre migraine.

It’s the prodrome, it’s a thing: americanmigrainefoundation.org/resource-library/migraine-prodrome-symptoms-prevention/
