Best London art gallery for DD8??

We're heading to Nodnol on Sat and DD8 has announced she'd like to visit an art gallery!

I think she'd have somewhere like the national gallery in her head and probably would prefer paintings as opposed to installations etc but any recommendations??

This is the first time she's expressed an interest so needs to be suitable for beginners (as I am also clueless about art!)

National Gallery is a good pick imo.

They have kids trails to follow if you want that sort of thing and do a session where they explain the story behind a picture etc.

They've got loads of paintings and it's all your classics so something for everyone. Plus it's free so you don't feel bad leaving after half an hour/walking past really quickly.

Good gift shop.
