Twice a week I go to a Pilates class, it's in a studio run by an amazing woman. She teaches Pilates, yoga, aerial yoga, pre natal and ante natal. She has worked hard to achieve this and is very passionate about her work. All her students love her (me included) and thrive under her tuition.

I'm in awe of her - she must wake up in the morning and actually look forward to going to work. No shitty customers or piss-taking arseholes wanting to bring her down. Every client she has, wants to be there to improve their life and fitness in some way.

I do now. I qualified as a Midwife 8 years ago, fresh out of school really, and thought I'd always be a clinical staff midwife. I had a MH breakdown and took nearly 2 years out of Midwifery and worked in governance. It piqued my interest so during the pandemic I went back into the NHS to pursue my dream job which I've now accomplished, and I am a Lead Midwife for Quality and Safety at my Trust. I've worked really hard over the last 3 years to achieve this and am now having a well earned rest on mat leave before I return to hit the ground running 😂

I can't think of anything worse than being a Pilates teacher. We are all different I guess.

Well done you, the hard work must be worth it! Do you wake up every morning and look forward to going to work?

I'm too old now but In my next life I'm going to open a 'Women Only Gym'. There will be everything you can think of including a Pilates studio and a dojo for martial arts 😅

Yes we are all different. My point is, this woman made her passion her profession. She's her own boss and loves what she does. Every client who comes to her wants to change her life for the better.
