Parking on double yellows

I am trying to sift through a Google search but curious if anyone has any experience. We live in a small close off a busy main road. There's a primary school just round the corner on the main road. A car consistently parks on the double yellows by the junction onto the main road. If it matters they aren't any of our neighbours from the close. Mornings are obviously busy but where they park causes an obstruction and genuinely makes things dangerous with that many children around. Would a parking officer come out for something like this? I guess they'd get plenty of parents in the morning as well, which isn't my intention. They mostly park quite considerately. Thanks (I'm working on the diagram!)

Not this again.

They might if you let them know what is happening.

They used to fo regular parking patrols at my DDs primary school.

Sorry @larkstar I haven't seen previously. This isn't an issue about the parents parking at the school, they are mostly considerate, we knew when we moved here (our garden backs onto the playground) and hopefully LG will get into the school. The car is there all day, every day. The school is there for context, this parking causes an issue whether it's a week day or not.

Yes. I met the head of the parking team at my local authority and he explained how they try to cover all areas, and said if we make a report via their online form about repeat offenders, he'd send out a warden to be there at a similar time. So definitely report it!

Does the car have a blue badge OP? Might be permitted to park there for a limited period.

No blue badge that I've noticed but I will check. They park on the double yellows overnight rather than for short periods to get themselves/unloading into the house if that makes sense. There isn't parking on the main road or with a drive at the front of the house and whilst I think they have allocated parking at the back it includes a right of access, which might have it's own issues. It's a public road so people are very much entitled to park where there is a space, but they park on the double yellows rather than 50m away as the close opens and there are usually spaces.
