New phone Google pixel 7 - doesn't recognise me dismissing pop up ads

Can anyone help with a text issue?
I ordered some stuff on Moonpig and after you complete a purchase there is always a pop up which asks about joining one of their partners or whatever.
Anyway, doesn't matter about the content of the pop up but when I click the wee cross to get rid of it, nothing happens.
I only got the phone last night and I've noticed a few things like this.
Any ideas?!
It's a Google pixel 7.

Tech issue not text! I'm getting used to the keyboard still!

I think sometimes those boxes are designed not to disappear and they try to force you to click on stuff. I have a Samsung phone and I often have to close the entire window in order to get out.

I know what you mean but I'm sure I have close this pop up on my old phone though. I've also noticed when I've clicked a link, nothing happens (on occasion). For example if I click "I'm on" on Mumsnet it wasn't going to threads I'm on.

Perhaps the phone is glitchy. Could you get it exchanged?

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 10/11/2022 22:34

I don't know because Ive unsealed the box and copied all my apps over and am using it.
I'll need to find out because maybe it is just glitchy. Which would be shit since it cost £600
