Expectations in workplace - with outsourced company - is it me? Generation thing?

There was a similar thread the other week re Gen Z's.

Unsure if it's this...

However, I am working for a global corporation and was dealing with an outsourced company. I was under pressure and stressed and found the people I was dealing with weren't that helpful - so I thought anyway. My info I wanted help with was time sensitive. The outsourced company has turn around times but I already had to chase them about something this week.

I've now had 2 complaints made about me, but I didn't swear and wasn't that rude I thought, just impatient to get this sorted out... and was slightly frustrated it hadn't been.

I've noticed this has happened a bit since Covid not so much before then.

And I think they're younger than me - I'm 51 so from an era of different working patterns etc.

Am I expecting too much? Should I lower expectations?
