Obviously you don't need me to tell you, I know that Blush I'm just so random person

But I just wanted to say what I saw yesterday

I was waiting in a line outside A&E yesterday and a woman behind me collapsed on the floor. She had oxygen on anyway

I escorted her to the front and I was pushed to the side forcefully by a man at the fronts who shouted 'wait you're turn!'

Thankfully a nurse came out to assist her. And then I finally got to the front myself

I went through to A&E with DD and sat in the initial paeds waiting bit to be triaged. My DD was called instantly and the woman who was sat there with her very bored looking teen said 'that's it. I'm fucking out of here!'

DD was having a seizure.

Came up onto the wards as needed a transfer to GOSH. 6 hour wait for an ambulance and the nursing station was nearby. The doctor was on the phone every 5/10 mins demanding updates as she wanted DD moved asap

When we were initially waiting outside A&E, the ambulance bay had a paramedic standing nearby explaining to another ambiance that they couldn't let them through and they'd have to go to another hospital (25 miles away)

Hope your DD recovers quickly OP

Re people waiting in A&E, there are always some who are selfish/self centred/etc.

About 30 years I went to A&E with broken bones in my foot. Waited patiently and after 2 hours a nurse came out to waiting room and said an ambulance was bringing patients following a sever road accident. Said the wait time would about 6 hours. Most people walked out complaining and some said they tell their GP about disgraceful service.

Approximately 15 years ago DSis was in A&E when another person waiting was called. They insisted for a prescription for paracetamol.

@Crikeyalmighty I don't think you read my post properly. I posted data that proves it's got a lot worse under the Tories. I was disagreeing with a poster who said it was just as bad under Labour.

Now I've read Missy's post you'vemisread that one too.

The total cost of Brexit so far is estimated at an eye-watering £139 billion - just imagine what we could have done with that money or 10s of thousands of more EE workers in our health service who didn't decide to go home or somewhere they would feel more wanted. Yes just imagine because that's all we can do now sadly and many of the terrible incidents in this thread bear witness to it.

Scary when you consider strikes are on the way

Crikeyalmighty · 11/11/2022 10:50
