Where's nice, and not too expensive to go on holiday in Feb?

With a 4yo? We like a bit of adventure. Museums. Hiking. Being out and about etc. Where would you go? UK fine. Abroad fine too but haven't got much money so might not be affordable....

I tend to find AI and broad is cheaper than the UK!

But the Channel Islands? Very nice and you can get boats to places like Herm and Sark. (And France).

I really liked Mallorca. We stayed on the North East side in Port de Pollenca and did a lot of cycling and running out to Cap de Formenter, up through the hills to the monastery at Lluc, Albufera National park etc. Sea swimming an option. Lots of outdoorsy stuff on that side of the island. Alcudia very picturesque. Palma was great for a sightseeing day trip, some of the architecture is gorgeous. We opted not to stay on that side as it’s more crowded, though.

Basically, a bit of everything. Probably not really beach weather in Feb (though if you’re hardy enough go for it) but plenty to do and loads of variety, plus regular cheap flights and accommodation at every budget.
