What podcasts are you listening to? What might I like?
I like interesting people talking about their lives - recently really enjoyed The Poet Laureate has gone to his shed, and Walking the Dog with Emily Dean. Also enjoy some of the Times podcasts - Bed of Lies was brilliant, and some of the Guardian Long Reads, the less political ones generally.

And of course Desert Island Discs!

Any recommendations? Similar genre or happy to go off piste if it’s good. What are you all enjoying at the moment?

Second vote due “Off Menu” - some very funny episodes

I also like history podcasts “your dead to me” is good as it features a guest historian and a guest comedian each episode. Also love “what’s her name” which covers women who have done amazing things but have been overlooked and forgotten in our history.

There's a good podcast on BBC Sounds called
Life Changing.
It's short true stories of ordinary people that have life changing moments.

My current pod loves are diary of a ceo. Some are a bit dull but worth listening as some are exceptional. Also Heavyweight - some connection to Serial, might be produced by the same people. V funny

Dish might fit your remit. Stanley Tucci on the latest one and I love him! I listen to a lot of political podcasts but like The Rest is Politics the most with Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart.

The Hairy Bikers do one, I think it's called agony uncles. They're so funny and yet so sincere. Every time I listen to them I feel joy

I loved Life Changing!

Some great suggestions here - I like the sound of the Hairy Bikers - they are my kind of hosts. Going to check them out next.

I love this podcast. So interesting.

I listened to lots of true crime a while ago.

Listened to The News Agents, The Rest is Politics and Newscast a lot during the recent domestic political crises.

Love chortling along to shagged married annoyed and parenting hell.

Have also recently got into Restless Natives which is Martin Compston and Gordon Smart which is basically just them talking nonsense and recounting silly drunken encounters with a side dish of celeb name dropping. Really appeals to my sense of humour.
