Have I got fake Dune boots?

So I bought boots today off marketplace, and sadly they don't fit, so I plan to sell them on again.

I was under the impression ( listed as Dune) that they were Dune boots, but having got them home I have looked eBay for others to see what they are worth, and have discovered my boots look ever so slightly different than the others.

Mainly the branded gold stud at the back of the boot, the wee tab where you pull the boot on with, on eBay the other boots have this gold stud. My boots don't.

I think they are the Dune boots Taro, in the tan colour. Does anyone know if they are likely to be fake if they don't have this gold stud? I don't even think the stud has fallen off, there's no holes where they should be. Thank you

Never heard of Dune fakes before so possibly it might be that you have an older version of the boot that is more commonly seen?

They do change the designs slightly from year to year.

The manufacturing date on the inside says 2016 I think, so you could be right that it's an earlier design as the ones on eBay seem to be 2017

I don't think there would be much money to be made faking Dune. Probably just an older version.

Absolutely, I just received fake ones from eBay that were sold second-hand. They are obviously brand new, never worn, just fake. I had very similar from the Dune store so I had a chance to put them side by side. Very obvious
