I had covid and was bedridden with fever and quite extreme pain. Im well over the worst now, but this is my 5th week of coughing. My chest still isn't better though it's much improved. The change day-on-day is tiny. How long did your cough last?

About three months I'm afraid.

For my first time it was over quickly. Felt really awful for a few weeks and then a bit tired but no other lingering symptoms. Second time the bout of covid itself was v mild but the cough has been with me for a few months .

About 6 weeks, I lost my voice completely for at least 2 of them. The constant coughing really wears you out. I found sleeping propped up on loads of pillows was easier than trying to sleep normally. A spoonful of honey in my tea eased the itchy feeling, along with an endless supply of soothers sweets!

i had quite mild covid, but my cough lasted about 4 months. i didn't go to the GP until about 8 weeks, they sent me for a chest x-ray and it was clear, so they pretty much said they couldn't do anything and it would eventually go.

i found that the air con at work was aggravating my chest, which was making me cough, which was aggravating my chest, which was making me cough..... once i stopped being in that environment, my cough eventually went.
