How do I get pee smell out of carpet! Please help!

I spilled a potty on bedroom floor a few days ago. I've tried : bleach, copious amounts of dettol, zoflora, laundry powder, water and soap. Probably given myself chlorine gas poisioning.

It still stinks to the point it is stinking the whole hall out and i can't invite anyone over.

Is there anything that will actually get rid of it properly, or do I have to replace the carpet?

Is it toddler wee? I read that it has a similar composition to dog wee and so I’ve always used Simple Solution spray on both. It has enzymes that break up the molecules that cause the odour. The dog trainer recommended it and it’s amazing!

SEN mum here. Get a decent brand of pet carpet cleaner. Deals with all the bad smells from all the bodily fluids. Regular zoflora/Febreeze or carpet cleaners for normal stains just won't cut it. I've got this one at the moment which works well with a couple of applications and airing.

Was coming on to recommend the Dr Beckman pet odour remover!

It is super stuff.

Before you spend money try baking soda, I know it's old fashioned but I swear by it.
Cream carpets, dog wee and dog diarrhea, got both the stains out and the smell.
Sprinkle it on dry, work in with your fingers or a brush, leave overnight then hoover.
For stains, mix a paste with a bit of water then work into the stain, when dry hoover.
For lingering smells place a bowl of baking soda next to the stain and leave it for a few days, keep DC and pets away from the bowl, it absorbs odours

I do bicarbonate of soda too when the kids vomit but don't find it enough for pee and poo unfortunately. Def worth keeping in though you can but buy cheap tubs of it in cleaning section of household stores, much better value than the wee tubs for baking.

Vinegar or the pet spray. I also have a child with SEN and use the pet spray on his mattress

I read somewhere that shaving foam is supposed to work great for removing odours. You spray it on and leave it to absorb then hoover it up. Haven't tried it myself but it might be worth a go if you have it at hand. The stain remover for pets sounds like a good option too though.

Bicarbonate soda. Has worked on dog vomit, wee and a bottle of wine
