What feels like an extreme sport but isn’t?

I’ll go first:

putting babies in coats/snow suits. Fuck me, heaven forbid I needed to leave anywhere in a dash during the winter months.

Going around a soft play with your toddler (bonus extreme points if you’re also pregnant)

for my fellow nurses/midwives - putting teds on a patient in the middle of summer with no air-con.

trying to push your preschooler up a hill on their scooter whilst also pushing a baby in a pram.

tbh every school morning, I feel like i move like quick silver between the hours on 7-9 with no sit down at all.

anyone else got anything to add?

Sprinting across a boggy field to get large dog (who has suddenly gone deaf) up off the floor because he’s rolling in fox poo.

At the other end of the spectrum, getting teenagers out of bed in time to get to school?

SugarCookieMonster · 08/11/2022 17:03

Finally getting a call back from the GP at the exact moment you walk through the door from school pick up and you’re trying to open the back door to let the dog out, the 4 yr old is yelling that they’re hungry and stuck in their coat and the Doctor is asking for the first day of your last period.

Finding a toilet when out and about just after potty training. Just finished Tesco shop and put the trolley back then had to go back in carrying the bags and DS. It was like the Home Alone scene where they run through the airport!

Searching for your keys in the bottom of your bag in the rain. Trying to balance the bag on your knee while searching around as the rain soaks you from head to toe. Then when you do find them somehow the end of the key has got stuck at an awkward angle in the key ring and you can't unlock the door until you have manoeuvred it back out.

These have me in absolute hysterics!! @BobbyBobbyBobby I had a cockapoo which a strong affection for fox poop so I feel your pain!!!

@antiquisearchers just restarted this last week!! 🤣 it definitely feels harder to do 8x 1 minute than it does 3X3!!! I thought it was 6 rounds, I almost died when she said “start running” on round 7!

Trying to open a poo bag when it's cold, wet and windy and dog is pulling on lead and jumping around because it's seen enemy dog from down the road.

Getting a 9yr old to practice spellings, while whipping up a different dinner for the 15yr old who had their braces adjusted today, all the time keeping an eye on the clock as they’ve put traffic lights on your route to collect the 11yr old from their after-school club and it’s going to take an extra 10 minutes to get to pick up. The 13yr old mentioning that they have Food Tech tomorrow and that they need 4 random ingredients which you will now need to purchase on the way to the club pick up (requiring you to go even faster so you can leave even sooner)

Trying to buckle a toddler into a car seat when they're in a particularly independent/stroppy / arsey mood!

Trying to reverse park into the only parking space left, which has been avoided by everyone else at school pick up as its so small, whilst all the other mothers who got there earlier sit in their cars and watch you try and do it

Social media snooping on any device with a small screen, with the RUSH of trying to scroll up and down without hitting any 'like' or 'add friend' buttons!
