What's wrong with my DS

He's usually up for 3am or 4am. Has been for the last 3 years without fail.

Yesterday he was up at 7am. Yes, 7am... I was shocked. School said he was acting very mellow and slow to move, wanted to lay down

This morning he's been up for 7.30am. He is usually bouncing off the walls come 3am, into everything, running about non stop.

He has severe ASD

Now, it seems so odd to me. Something isn't right but -

NO temperature
NO cold or cough
NO being sick

What could be going on? Sad what would I even go to the doctors for??

This isn't right. But it's only been 2 days

How old is he? Could he be staying awake after bedtime?

ilphe · 08/11/2022 08:03

Bobby he's 5. He's definitely not doing that

He is sound asleep, absolutely sound

Definitely poorly. Could be sore throat.

Or is hitting teen years.

Does he want to drink more?

GoodVibesHere · 08/11/2022 08:07

Well, that does sound odd. Perhaps he is slowly coming down with something. Does he have a sore throat or any symptoms at all? Is he eating and drinking as normal? Have you checked all over for a rash? (E.g.when DD had shingles the rash was a very small area on her torso).

Keep him home from school today and keep a very close eye on him.

Hardly drinking at all, not eating. He is very fit and healthy, slim but usually eats like a horse

He's probably coming down with something, and a busy day at school yesterday has made him more tired and worn out today.

Keep him off school today and keep an eye on him. Sometimes they just need some sleep to start to feel better.
