Child benefit- anyone closed a claim then opened it again at a later date?

Just wondering if you had to go through the whole process right from the beginning again and eg send of birth certificates etc or if there is a simpler way?

You can do it through your gov gateway account. Essentially start and stop payments. I did it when on maternity leave and not earning over the threshold

Yep, as above, not hard at all. No extra proof required to restart.
