i get an email from Tesco I get before the delivery to tell me substitutes etc
i have looked at todays and beside every item there is a reduction. I get that they reduce on some items that are clubcard prices but this is on everything. I did a screenshot of part of it. This is how it looks.
does anybody else get this?

Tesco reducing prices

Did you use vouchers to reduce the overall amount you spent? Maybe it's been shared out & taken off each price - but then, they're not all reduced by the same proportion. I give up, what's the answer?

I had £30 of clubcard points and I think they have taken some off each item. A daft way to do it. Not easy to work it out

I get all kinds of weird things on Tesco email receipts. Sometimes it's impossible to make sense of their substitituion prices & sometimes they sub one thing with the identical name & description!

Ah if that is how they've done it then thats how lidl do their vouchers too when you get like the £2 one.

ifIwerenotanandroid. I have the same thing too. Not easy to work out.
Had a good substitute this week. I ordered some hand cream reduced to £4 clubcard price. They substituted it with an £18 gift box of toiletries and still charged me £4

Tesco substitutes are the best. Sainsburys are awful

I’m sorry, not the point of the thread but how is 4 pints of milk £4.65?!?

TakeYourFinalPosition · 11/11/2022 21:52

@Reebokclassics Its 3 x 4 pints of milk for £4.65.

Husband works for Tesco so we get discount. Used to show it as a single sum at the end of the bill now it shows how each individual item has been reduced. Confused the hell out of me the first time I saw it

It must depend on store. I never get basic stuff that is out of stock subbed with posh or better stuff. Ever. I just get a 'not available' message on my receipt.
