Am I in the wrong?

I work in a small team with an overarching manager called Kevin. One of the senior people in that team is my direct manager called Jason. So I report in to Jason and I don’t have much to do with Kevin apart from a catch up maybe once a month.

I think Jason is a shit manager tbh. He’ll hold meetings about projects I’m involved in but not invite me. I mentioned this to Kevin who pretty much blamed me and said the onus was on me to ask to go to these meetings … my point is that I’m not told when these are and they aren’t frequent or during a regular slot.

In fact there was one meeting that got cancelled right at the last minute and moved to the following day. Jason still went ahead with it (he didn’t cancel it) and didn’t tell me - and I didn’t show up because I assumed it was rearranged.

Have a one to one with Jason and ask why he has a problem with you and how can it be resolved?
