just asking what side effects you have had and how long after jab did you get side effects, I am supposed to be having mine Tues morning but have a full day after that planned for Xmas shopping and lunch, just a bit worried in case I feel bit off.

about 6 hours later started to feel a bit fluey, got a bit worse over 24 hours, woke up next morning and felt absolutely fine

Snowdropsarelovely · 06/11/2022 20:42

Bit of a sore arm, nothing else

Xiaoxiong · 06/11/2022 20:51

Friday 4pm had booster in one arm and flu jab in the other. Arms started getting sore by bedtime so I slept on my back which apparently made me snore! (Thanks for telling me DH...) Arms completely fine now and no other side effects.

I've got my covid and flu jags due on Thursday. Currently suffering from dry socket and an infection after a tooth extraction so not looking forward to any vac after effects on top. I have Googled and it should be OK to go ahead while on antibiotics but will ask when there. After last pfizer vac I had 48hs of D&V, I'm hoping it was a co-incidence!

Is it better to get both in one arm?

deplorabelle · 06/11/2022 20:58

Was jabbed on Saturday morning with bivalent moderna. By Saturday afternoon I was a bit achey but more than that very tired and weirdly emotional. Today (Sunday) I'm a bit delicate but could probably have worked if I'd had to.

My first two doses and first booster were all Pfizer. The two primary doses completely floored me for a couple of days each time. First booster was easy - just felt a bit wan for a few hours. In between then and now I've had covid and having 4th dose did bring back unpleasant memories of being ill which has made it worse.

Oldraver · 06/11/2022 22:04

OH and I had ours yesterday. Both had sore arms immediately and mine has been 'weak' today is went to pick up a kettle and it was a struggle. Had the startings of a muzzy head a couple of times but drinking water sorted it

OH has been feeling rough since yesterday though is coming round

Sn0tnose · 06/11/2022 22:44

I had mine Saturday morning and have been fine, not even a particularly sore arm. The first one absolutely wiped me out and I felt a little bit ropey with a couple of the others, but this booster has been without effects.

pinkkoala · 06/11/2022 22:59

I had all 3 Pfizer jabs previously and the first one I had was dec 2020, two days before Xmas and that made me tired and just yuk, dp cooked Xmas dinner, and every one I had I had a banging headache about 4 hrs after, but other than that was ok.
my dp had all 3 moderna jabs and his second one made him poorly.

I haven't had a side effect from any of the different covid vaccines. I've had AZ, moderna and the Pfizer bivalent.
Starting to think there's something wrong with me, although I'm very healthy which maybe helps. Not had covid yet either.

Offleyhoo · 06/11/2022 23:11

Dh nothing but I had very sore swollen armpit on that side for a few days and tired and very nauseous the first 24hr. I had Pfizer, not sure about dh. I think I was unlucky and have been fine with all the previous jabs and my more recent flu jab.

Dottydoodoo · 06/11/2022 23:20

I had mine on Wednesday, Moderna and I also had my flu jab at the same time in the other arm. The following day I had a cracking headache which would not go despite taking painkillers, and I felt cold and shivery like I had a temperature but I didn't actually have one. I was completely fine by Friday.
I've not had anything like that with any of the Pfizer jabs previously, I'm pleased my immune response is working but Thursday was a rough day!

Openmouthinsertfood · 07/11/2022 02:16

I was really dithering about having mine after reading horror stories on MN, but, I went ahead and had it, flu one too, and had no symptoms what so ever!

After 3 covid shot Oct 2021, I am still having pain in shoulder I got the shot. Specialist says it is an impingement caused by the shot itself. Having to take anti-inflammatory drugs and do workouts with bands. Starting to get better slowly. I can finally snap by bra in back. Before, pain was so intense I could only get to hooks done. Constantly having to ice it, etc. Done with the shot. Not taking chance with getting 4th covid shot.

borderterrierr · 07/11/2022 02:30

@WeAllHaveWings I got mine in 1 arm because I wanted to be able to sleep on one side and I went for right side so I could still drive and change gear if my arm hurt (it did)

octoberfarm · 07/11/2022 02:38

Had mine and had absolutely no side effects whatsoever Smile

pinkkoala · 08/11/2022 13:35

Well did my night shift, went for my covid booster and got flu jab as well, so two for one, wasn’t expecting that, then went on to Milton Keynes to go Xmas shopping, home now, knackered, bad head, stiff arm and feel sick, this is only 4 hours after the jabs.
they also did my bp reading and it was 170/90, not good, I am hoping that is because I was anxious.
when did people feel the side effects really hitting them.

I had a slightly sore arm but the next morning I suddenly got hit by a string wave of nausea. Lay down for an hour and was then fine

I haemorrhaged for two days. I won’t be taking another booster.

I have a similar issue since having the Shingles jab, and have had similar treatment so far. I'm having an MRI next.

I've had several shots for Covid and flu since then and all have been fine.

Will you be avoiding all vaccinations in the future?

Just a sore arm if I pressed it. No other effects this time.

Same for me. Virtually no side effects.

Avoiding for now. Shoulder still hurts. Have to be careful how I move it. I'm afraid it will happen again, so not in a hurry to get a vaccine of any kind. I didn't get an mri, but the specialist did x-rays to check for bone issues etc. That's when he told me about the shot being the issue because others have come in with the same.

SweetPeaPods · 08/11/2022 21:53

Tender arm only. Felt much worse after the first one. But everyone seems to be different with these things.

So interesting to talk to someone else going through what sounds like the same thing, although I'm also sorry you're going through it too. I also had X-rays to check for bone issues, but all looked OK, so I think they're now looking at the rotator cuff? It's been nearly a year of pain for me so far, and I'm hoping there is some kind of cure out there...
