If you’ve been to Forest Holidays…..?

Hi, I’ve booked to go to forest holidays in Feb with the DC. Booked a 2 bedroom cabin for 4. Since booking, a grandparent would like to come for 2 of the 4 nights. There is no availability to upgrade to a 3 bed cabin. I asked could the Grandparent stay in our cabin and we pay a surcharge. (We could make it work bed wise as the DC are little.) But Forest Holidays said this is not allowed.

I’ve never been to Forest Holidays before, would they know if the grandparent stayed without us informing them?

They come to fiddle with your hot tub every morning. Do there is the risk they would know

I don't think they'd know and I don't ever remember them coming to look at the hot tub while we were there

They definitely fiddle with the hottub each day but they aren't peering through the window with a clipboard. I'm not sure if you'd get away with it, on the one hand, the sites are fairly small and it would be obvious if you were all hanging around on the deck but, on the other, you just pick up the keys from reception and then they tend to leave you alone.

This. Be discrete and you’ll be fine. And enjoy the underfloor heating!

Thanks all. What about parking is she is coming in her own vehicle? It’s Sherwood Forest

I think our cabin had parking for one vehicle - go steady, if you try to park 2 you could give the game away?

There is a little car park at Sherwood Forest.
I don’t think they check. We went in 2020 whilst there were restrictions of mixing households and there were loads of people clearly breaking that rule and they didn’t seem to care.

We went in 2019 to the forest holidays in Hampshire and friends who lived nearby came to stay a night. I remember asking on the day at reception and the lady was fine with it. So maybe it depends on who is on duty on the day?

There is a small car park at Sherwood Forest but you can also carry on down the road for another minute and there's a huge amount of parking - its pay and display though
