Anyone else had issues exchanging their electricity voucher (pre-payment)

This meter has been in our property about 8 years, was here before I got here and landlord doesn’t want it changed. Old style not smart,

Paper voucher came from British Gas the other week so I took it to the local post office on the way home (the only place you can use them!) along with all the ID you have to take too.

Woman behind the counter rolled her eyes at me and audibly huffed when she saw what I needed. I asked her if there was an issue and she said “no” like a teenager would and then said “these are just a real pain, I HATE doing them”. Then proceeded to huff and puff whilst she was completing the transaction, studying my ID like I was britains most wanted and dramatically flouncing to the shop counter to announce “sorry another one” to her colleague

Like I’m sorry, did you not get your £66 too? Is this not your job? I dreading having to do the next one as this is the only local post office (village)

Doesn't sound like an issue with the voucher, but an issue with either the staff training (or management of staff) or the suitability of the staff in your local post office to be working in a customer facing role.

As an aside (as I am trying to advise my ds) - did you have to apply for this voucher, or did it just arrive ? (He didn't know about the fact he should have a voucher).
