How to spend £100 M&S food voucher

I hope this doesn't excite the M&S troll too much 😅

I took out insurance via M&S and now have £100 of vouchers! I don't usually shop there so what would you recommend? Planning to use them just before Christmas so wine, pate and cheese will feature heavily. Also cooking Christmas day so any nice bits for the day too.

Good selection of honeys and spreads, can double as gifts.
Their sparkling glass bottled fruit drinks are delicious and will keep ages and don’t need refrigeration, great in the summer with ice.
Good quality bathmats.
Their Autograph clothes range are excellent, especially the wool coats.
Their large plants are beautiful if a tad overpriced.

Never thought id be so jealous of someone with an M&S voucher 😂

Something like honey glazed carrots/parsnips/roast potatoes for lunch

I'd buy their gin and Christmas biscuits as gifts

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 06/11/2022 15:44

Red cabbage and cauliflower cheese. Both can be frozen.

TheNestedIf · 06/11/2022 15:45

Get one of their musical biscuit tins. They always sound hilariously like they were tuned by Les Dawson.

QueefofSheena · 06/11/2022 15:45

The Christmas gins, Prosecco, Christmas Colin cake, tins of nuts, crisps, spiced red cabbage, more gin 😁

Blocked · 06/11/2022 15:46

Cornish cruncher cheese.

Blocked · 06/11/2022 15:46

Oh and a lemon drizzle cake. It's the best lemon drizzle you can get

Gwdihooooo · 06/11/2022 15:47

£100 worth of their Jaffa cakes

Skelligsfeathers · 06/11/2022 15:48

I'd use to get my turkey and pigs in blankets and sausage meat for the stuffing.

Donepaying · 06/11/2022 15:48

Could you get a nice bit of steak and then some advice on pairing with the best chips ?
😂😂😂😂

What a bonus ! I'd get my Xmas dinner with that and not be watching the prices ! Enjoy

I was expecting £50, and it turned out to be per pet insured so I'm really happy.

I don't drink gin but fully stocked with it because my family don't seem to know me 😂so no gin but definitely wine if there is a specific nice malbec or rioja?

Honey is a good shout dp goes through loads.

I have to admit it's a relief to be able to buy all the nice bits without it eating into the normal food budget.

Bloody hell nc fail, nevermind, I'm the OP!

I'm intrigued by the musical biscuit tin 😅

Cornish cruncher cheese.

This sounds amazing, no idea what it is but I'm all about the cheese.

Buildingthefuture · 06/11/2022 15:57

We’ve got a credit card that we get M&S vouchers for,….it’s a god send every Christmas! The stuffing is good, as are the pigs in blankets….oh and a full sized Raspberry Royale!! Also really like the Singapore noodles (if you get bored of traditional Christmas food) And, if you’ve a lot of people coming and you’re short on space/time they do really good microwave veg. I know, I know, but honestly, they are fresh, not frozen and really good…..bloody expensive though, so I only buy with vouchers. The frozen breaded haddock is good too (not very Christmassy I know, but lovely to have in) And the Merino organic wine…sulphite free so no hangover Smile On offer at the minute too (£6 a bottle)……

Gruelle · 06/11/2022 16:12

Their LBV Port is not at all bad. (About £13.) I’d be tempted to buy half a case of that before anything else. (You could gift a few.)

It's a lovely strong cheddar, with little salt crystals in it (hence the 'cruncher') I love it.

WeAreAllLionesses · 06/11/2022 17:26

£100 will not go far, DH has just returned from Sainsbury's with three bags of shopping - nothing outrageously expensive - £80.

Like Xmas pudding in liquid form but even yummier. If you can manage to grab a bottle, they seem to sell like hot cakes. Thank me later.

KissTheHostGoodbye · 07/11/2022 12:22

Stuffing
Gravy
Bread sauce

Cauliflower cheese (buy loads and freeze)
Curries (again, buy loads and freeze)
And obviously, Percy Pigs Smile

purplecorkheart · 07/11/2022 12:33

Their wines are normally quite good in my experience particularly the range from New Zealand. I like their tuna steaks so would stock up and freeze. I like their mushroom pate and macroons.

AriettyHomily · 07/11/2022 13:05

I'd fill the freezer with some of the party food, we have it for lunches in the dead but between Christmas and new year.
