Passport renewal turn around times

Has anyone had their passport renewed recently? How long did it take for you to get your new passport back? Just worrying I might have left it too late - due to fly in January

I applied on 24th October to renew mine and had an email yesterday to say that my new passport had been printed.

I applied on the 23rd October and had email yesterday to say mine was being printed, so hopefully being dispatched shortly. I worked on the basis of it being a quieter time of the year to do it!

Mine arrived last week and took three weeks and that's with the faff of having a photo rejected (one paid for via a passport photo place - ended up using a selfie)

I applied on Monday evening, posted old passport Tuesday, got my new passport back Friday morning. This was about 2 weeks ago.

2 weeks. Got mine back last week

Mine arriving today. So just over 3 weeks 😀

DPs parents just had theirs back in under a week, using Max Speilman concession in Asda.
(I'd normally be against wasting money paying a third party, but in this case there were specific circumstances).

DS did his first adult passport (from an expired child one) in the spring. Online application. Returned in around 2 weeks.

My husband and I both renewed ours recently. His took just over a week. Mine took just under a week.
