Met someone who just turned 40, last relationship was when he was age 28 and was long distance for 6 months then ended. Before then it seems he dated briefly and since then he’s had non starters. He drinks every time we meet but I would say quite a bit… ie last night had a bottle of wine to himself and then a couple of gins, didnt seems remotely drunk…
Hes got a good job, very high up and obviously got that side of his life together. But doesn’t seem to have any real social life with friends… he references friends but in the last four months I’ve not known him to meet with any of them. Maybe that’s normal? I see mine every couple of weeks or so.
Close to his parents but they are very private apparently and don’t consider themselves to have friends and tend to stay in the house for months at a time
i don’t get a sense that he’s a bad one but I’m 36 and have misjudged things with men over and over. I don’t want to do that again so I’m probably being over cautious?
