How to get Man United tickets

Posting in 'chat' for traffic - help needed. I would love to get DS Man United tickets for Christmas

Please give me any and all advice. As far as I can see my options are:

  • £700-ish for hospitality
  • Buying membership for me and DS and doing the ballot - but from what I hear, the odds of us both getting tickets of a decent game on the same day are vanishingly small?
  • Dodgy websites - are any of these real?

Any and all ideas appreciated. I miss my youth when Man United used to win everything and my dad's mate had a season ticket which meant I often got to go. Thanks in advance.

Find your local supporters club/coach travel and ask if any there are happy for you to have their season tickets when they can’t make games.

You’re not supposed to let others use your season tickets but many people do it. It’s how DH gets to go with DS so often.

Some will only let those with memberships have them (I think you can send them over to other members) so might be worth becoming a member anyway.

Someone with a season ticket can send you their tickets for a match (if you know someone) but you have to be a member to receive it officially.

I have season tickets, so never try and get tickets but there do seem to be Facebook groups where people advertise this if they can't go.

It's pretty hard to plan for it outside of a hospitality package.

Usually you wouldn't stand a chance for high profile games (so the derby, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea). You might give able to borrow from season ticket holders for other games but not necessarily together in the ground.

I would try and join a fan group on FB or similar and ask the same question you've posted here. Someone may know in advance that they're not going to a match and offer to lend you theirs. But you'll probably have a complicated arrangement to meet them to get the tickets and return them afterwards.
