Should i bin my Batiste dry shampoo

Im in the UK but there has been a recall on these in the States.

Nooo, I love my batiste! Other brands don’t cut it either.

Considering that talc has been thought to be carcinogenic for a good few years now, I'm not surprised they're now saying the same for what is effectively spray on talc.

Is Baptiste here in the UK the same version as in the states though? There are a lot of products that have different versions/aren't available in the UK and Europe because the US allows so many ingredients that are banned by the EU. Like the blue food colouring and Arctic Fox hair dyes.

It clearly states that Batiste doesn't have Benzene in it and therefore is not affected

I don't know if it's just me but dry shampoo makes my head super itchy which it never is normally? Does anyone else get this?!

I have the brunette Batiste. I also have a Colab one. But dont use them very often.

I do remember reading an article years ago which claimed the US isnt as strict about what goes into cosmetics as the UK is.

Nope.
I use dry shampoo weekly minimum and never had an itchy head.

My hair always looks shite though. I get better results with talc!

Many other dry shampoos are but not Batiste

I do if I use it a lot or over extended periods. I feel like it's similar to when you wear too much make up, it blocks your pours and makes your skin feel a bit manky and spotty. It's stopping your scalp from producing natural oils and clagging everything up.

In a statement, Church & Dwight, the maker of Batiste hair products said: "Consumer safety is of the utmost importance... Batiste products do not contain benzene."

Wait for the FDA to release a statement first. Then consider…it’s only one lab with limited testing. It’ll take a few months for a final verdict though!
