Best films! Recommendations please

Seeing the thread about disappointing films… give me your recommendations!

For me… not maybe the best ever but some favourites:

• comedy - some like it hot, airplane
• romance - oh well, coming up short here and need recommendations! Call me by your name was good at giving a feeling of a summer romance and being young (sigh)
• scary - night of the living dead
• christmas - White Christmas, Muppets Christmas Carol
• action - got to be the first Die Hard one
• interesting ones - saw “Sorry to Bother You”, very odd but interesting!

Young talent - think LaKeith Stanfield and Florence Pugh are going to be in it for the long haul.

Action: Speed. Introduced DS15 to it the other night and he loved it too.

Non-English language: Druk (released as 'Another Round' over here)
Danish cinema at it's finest. Mads Mikkelsen starring, Thomas Vinterberg directing, I laughed, cried and everything in between!

Ah forgot about speed, so good!! Would love more non-English / American film recommendations :)

Abandoned 1949 - film noir with the unusual topic of baby brokering. Fascinating insight to the clothing, police action and the way of life of that era.
