I was thinking of taking my DD (7) for a trip to London, and possibly an overnight stay so we can have a girly evening and not worry about travelling back. For context we are only about an hour away from London, but thought it would be lovely experience for her if we could stay over.
Looking to go mid-late November- although appreciate that is probably quite last minute for booking something in london. Nothing specific planned- but will be able to see the lights, walk along the river, have some dinner etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels that would be good for a mummy/daughter stay? Not looking for anything elaborate as we can't justify the price as we live quite close. Maybe something a tad nicer than a travelodge (unless any of the London ones are particularly nice). Have looked at premier inns but the central ones are booked up. Would need to be a fri or sat night as she is at school. Would be good if it was within walking distance of leister sq/Oxford St/trafalgar sq etc, but happy to get on the tube or bus for a few stops.
