Anyone else had this cough/cold/tummy bug

Had two colds back to back.

second one I seemed to have developed laryngitis alongside it at the end of last week. Laryngitis is now improving but this second cold is taking ages to shift still feels improved but not great 10/11 days nose still stingy/crackly tho not running/sneezing anymore and the cough feels really quite sore on my chest now, plus in the last 7 days I seemed to have developed what can only be described as a ‘dicky’ tummy. Feeling sick/nauseas not to the point of being sick but could easily make myself and I bit of urgent ‘loose’ errr toilet trouble for want of a better word. Have I gone and picked a third thing up?!? I’ve been pretty much laid up but dragged myself out to take DC swimming last Thurs so suppose could have. Or is this an actual bug that’s going round - cough/cold and sickness. Or have is it a effect of the cold/cough.

I am in the second stretch of it as we speak, and DS has just finished it. I think we got off light on infections during the pandemic years, and now our immune systems have to build back up.

@TheYearOfSmallThings with the tummy troubles too? I’ve had two very mild colds recently, one directly before this was. Lulled me into a false sense of security!

I've had this with covid. It's taken me two weeks to get over it. I seemed to go through a whole range of symptoms throughout it

Krupkrups · 04/11/2022 10:29

Ummmm @stripes416 i was surprised it wasn’t Covid tbh. Only did two test a few days apart. Perhaps I should have done another couple.

On my third week now.
had every flu/cold symptom you can have

I think I am on the last leg - I have the shits. Three days of running to the loo etc.

still exhausted but improving slowly..

THREE FUCKING WEEKS OF THIS! Arrrrrghhhhhhh

whatwhhat · 04/11/2022 10:43

Yes we have 😭😭 it totally wiped my kids out for about three weeks on waves of temp, d+v, coughs and colds. They looked like they were getting better then something else hit them. It feels like they've been hit by three or four different bugs at the same time but loads of people seem to be similar that it's too much of a coincidence that it would be different bugs affecting people with similar time lines.

It also looks like it's affecting the youngest worse. We're in london if that helps.

@TheYearOfSmallThings with the tummy troubles too?

Yep, in my case nighttime puking, which I haven't done for years. DS just didn't eat for 4 days, and I should have followed his lead there

TheYearOfSmallThings · 04/11/2022 10:51

We're in London too. It's definitely not COVID because we tested many times. It's just a manky rotten winter bug, although DS also has a rash which is slow to go away.
