Costs of running appliances

How do you figure out how much specific appliances cost to run?
We've got a dehumidifier and I need it on so often that I've been wondering how much it costs

You need to look up the energy info of the appliance.

I just looked up this dehumidifier- www.argos.co.uk/product/8499493?clickSR=slp:term:dehumidifier:1:12:1

It says it's 340 watt which is 0.34kw. That's the amount of electric it will use in an hour.

You then multiply that by your energy price. The current cost cap is £0.34 per kWh so 0.34 x 0.34 = £0.12 per hour

You can also get plug in devices that work it out for you. I
Eslecially useful if you are running something that doesn't run continuously.
