Sorry tmi. I can't go out and buy the treatment right now, I have £4 in the bank after paying bills this morning. Trying to get hold of Dp to transfer me some money, I have his card here but the chip is broken and awaiting a new one so can't even use Amazon as his card details are wrong!! Trying to get hold of dp to transfer me some money but he doesn't always see his phone at work, I've got to get the kids in a minute anyway. Might not be able to get to the chemist til tomorrow now as both kids have stuff on tonight nowhere near a Chemist!😭

anyway, sorry if I sound hysterical. I used to get recurrent thrush when I was younger but not had it in much several years, last time was about 2 years ago. I forgot how bloody annoying it is and feeling sorry for myself.

any home remedies to get me through til tomorrow please??

I found very using dilute tea tree oil (3/4 drops in an egg cup full of water) wiped over the area with cotton wool every time after weeing worked for me

Yes, I’m allergic to canesten so have perfected the natural thrush remedies.

First off don’t do the yogurt tampon, seemed to make mine worse and feed it. Horrific.

What works for me is peel a garlic clove, put lots of slits in the garlic with your ginger nail, get a needle and thread and attach some thread to garlic clove to make a kind of garlic tampon (for easier retrieval). And insert into your foof. Instant relief. Repeat every 6hours with a fresh clove until symptoms are gone.

Use coconut oil as topical cream instead of canesten. It’s really soothing and anti fungal, I put a little up inside too.

And if it’s really itchy use a bit of tea tree oil in your feminine wash for a bit of relief. Although the tea tree isn’t enough to treat and don’t insert that inside you, just externally.

I do this everytime I get thrush and it works every time.

Good luck OP hope your feeling better soon 💐

Also I use canesten internal probiotics after I have treated the thrush to bring back the balance of good bacteria , stops it coming back

You are sewing garlic to tampons as a thrush remedy? You must be kidding? I have never heard of this being a thing, never mind a good thing. Risky

😂 ginger nail was the least strangest part of your post

No you don’t sew the garlic to a tampon you just attach a thread to the garlic so you have a length of string to pull it back out with. It sounds mad but it really does work.

Oh wow fairydust you are braver that I am haha! I would be so worried about it coming off the string Blush

If it does it can’t really go anywhere, you can just search for it with your fingers and pull it out lol. I have never had to do this though the string has always stayed attached 🤣

I used to roll coconut oil in to pessary shape inside some clingfilm. Put it in the freezer over night. Then take it out of the clingfilm and insert it like a tampon.
