What to wear for graduation?

DS graduates next week and I have no idea what to wear. I am going with DM and she can't remember what she wore to my 2 graduations 🤦🏼‍♀️

She reckons smart trousers and a nice top but I think we should wear dresses? I honestly can't remember how formal parents go for graduations. It's my first one as a parent

Smart trousers and a nice top or a dress would be equally fine imo. Something you feel good in for a nice photo with your DS (but not as dressy as a wedding). Sorry this is still a bit vague - men have it much simpler with jackets and ties!
