I may sound dramatic but my hair was the only thing that I like about me .
For about a month , I keep loosing my hair extremely .
I have lost about 70% of my hair.
I am very devastated, I feel like I have lost the only thing that I actually like about myself, I feel horrible, what can be the reason?
I dont have any health issues..

The only difference in my life, is that I was put on Setraline and been taking it since June.

I feel fine , no other symptoms, I cant accept it , I feel that I am going bold.
I am 26 ...... desperate for any help.

I can add that I have had my baby 1 year ago, my hair starter falling out a bit which is normal after you give birth, it stopped in about March and I my hair stayed pretty much the same.

I had covid in July and thats about it,
I honestly lost my the only pretty thing that I had :(((((

Have you seen the GP ?

Storyofalion · 02/11/2022 21:35

@KangarooKenny I have seen gp back in late September as I was experiencing pregnancy like symptoms, but was not pregnant, the gp did not really do or offer anything and the hair issue started few days later.

So you’ve not seen the GP about it, and that’s what you should do.

THis is happening to me too. I am convinced that if I keep brushing my hair, I will just brush all of it off my scalp.

I also had Covid in the summer. I read that Covid hair loss is a thing that happens MONTHS after you had it. Look it up.

My son (12) lost loads of hair a few months after he had covid. It was literally coming out in clumps. We went to the gp and they couldn't find anything wrong, blood tests all normal so just put down to the covid

I had this after the first covid vaccine and it's never really gone away. My hair still looks ok but every time I wash it a handful comes out.

I saw the GP and they ran some blood tests - all came back fine so nothing medical and mine is growing back where it falls out. It just feels a lot thinner.

Definitely get some blood tests done and try a hair vitamin? I know how you feel, I had lovely long hair - was my pride and joy - now just a limp mess.
