Would you worry about this? I’ve just been to donate blood. It would have been my 24th donation so I’ve got plenty under my belt. I’ve never had any problems previously. Tonight my haemoglobin was too low to donate, which I’ve never had before. It’s just within normal levels for a woman - 120g which is the lowest normal reading according to google - so I’m not actually anaemic, it’s just below the minimum level for donating. However, it’s the fact that it’s a change for me personally which is bothering me, as it’s obviously dropped as I’ve never had this problem before. They didn’t seem concerned and told me to eat more iron-rich foods and go back in three months. Should I see my GP or is that overkill? I’d feel a bit silly based on the fact that I’m within normal levels but it’s the fact that I’ve dropped that’s playing on my mind.
