Can I share something happy?

I have 2 kids, 4 and 7 months. The eldest has a long history of misbehaving at the table whenever my husband is at home meaning that for a very long time family mealtimes were a real battle. Someone crying, eldest refusing to sit at the table, eldest fussing over the food, a bowl on the floor, whining... endless. It used to get me down. I just wanted a nice tea time.

Well tonight I got my wish! Feels like it came out of nowhere. Eldest sat like an angel and ate some food and we all just chatted and got along. I had happy tears which sounds really pathetic I know but the whole thing just meant so much to me. Just wanted to share.

That is lovely! She has outgrown her obstreperous phase (at least as far as mealtimes are concerned).

As an aside, why do you have a bowl on the floor; is it in case she vomits?

Thank you all. I can sleep tonight knowing that my son ate a vegetable without any begging or pleading!

@LBFseBrom I meant when the baby throws her bowl on the floor!
