Would love to get one but they are sold out everywhere!

Jimminypop · 02/11/2022 20:48

Are they really that good?

I can absolutely see the attraction from a cost to use perspective.

I did draw the line however at a friend's enthusiastic suggestion of cooking a steak in it for 20 minutes Confused poor, poor steak

Jimminypop · 02/11/2022 20:57

Oh that is yuck

They are good, I've got one and use it daily BUT some of the Facebook groups for air fryers are so evangelical about them you'd think they're the reason for Christmas!

I've cooked roast beef, chicken, pork, bread, chips, roasties, croquettes, quiche in mine. It is quicker and draws less energy than the main cooker.

When you get people saying to cook boiled eggs, (only 20 minutes!) or cheese on toast (20 minutes and pin the cheese down so it doesn't fly off the bread) you start to wonder about people's mentality. Both of those are a distant memory at 20 minutes for me if you cook them the usual way! Long since eaten.
