Can Anyone personally recommend a large wok for induction hob please?

Just as the title reads, I am looking for a large wok for my induction hob, we are a family of six so it needs to be quite big.

With Christmas coming up I know MIL will soon be asking what I want so any recommendations would be greatly received.

TIA.

How big were you thinking? I have the IKEA 365 one which is 32cm and very good. Make sure that you get a couple of their wide wok spatulas too!

Ive just had a look, that looks a fair deep size actually. Thank You, off to look at spatulas!

I personally prefer a traditional wok that isn't non-stick, that way you never have to worry about the lining going. You do have to smoke your kitchen out once to season it at the beginning, but then it gets better and better with age! I got mine 17 years ago from an East Asian grocery store and plan to keep it forever. The wooden handle is also very sturdy and never gets hot.

Do you have an induction hob @LordMooey? all the traditional woks I’ve seen have a rounded base which won’t work well on induction.

I cook on gas now, but have used it on induction jobs in the past. Here's a pic of its flat bottom...

My children don't believe that it was silver when I bought it!

I use a Stellar 7000 stainless steel wok - it's only 30cm (from memory), but it works well on a induction hob - I cook pretty much most 1 pot dishes using it - curries, pasta sauces, chilli, as well as the usual stir fries etc.

I've even cooked paella in it and it's fed 8.

We don't have an induction but I do recommend the kitchenaid woks (which are good for induction) obviously they're more expensive but we use it very very often and recommend 💯

Thank you! I shall have a look at all options tonight when I get a minute!
